A little clarity
about your data.
This notice describes the current Twistfully release. It distinguishes what works today from features still being connected.
Updated October 7, 2026Accounts and drafts
Creating an account provides your name, email address, and authentication information to our sign-in service. The studio stores the projects you save, including scripts, character notes, story bibles, source links, references, shot plans, generation records, and any finished exports or publication submissions.
Drafts are private to your account in the application. Saving, generating, or exporting a story does not publish it. The public discovery feed only shows a separate publication that has been marked public and approved. Private does not mean end-to-end encrypted: the services operating Twistfully process stored information to provide the product.
When you request AI generation
A generation action sends the material needed for that task to the connected AI provider. This can include your brief, script, character descriptions, reference media, and shot instructions. Merely opening or saving a draft does not send it for generation.
The studio identifies available models and whether generation is enabled. Providers have their own processing and retention practices. Do not submit confidential information or someone else’s personal material unless you have permission to share it with the relevant service.
When you export a finished film
Exporting assembles your selected completed clips into a downloadable MP4. This processes copies of the selected clips in a temporary, isolated Vercel Sandbox and saves the assembled film to private Neon Object Storage. The worker receives short-lived access to the necessary media and is configured to stop after processing. This does not delete the source clips, finished export, or related records.
The current exporter combines up to 45 shots and three minutes into a 720p, 24-frame-per-second MP4. It does not send the clips for a new AI-generation request.
The services involved
| Service | Role in Twistfully |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting, request processing, AI Gateway routing when generation is requested, and isolated Sandbox processing for film exports. |
| Neon | Account authentication, sessions, saved studio data, publication records, and private Object Storage for clips and assembled films. |
| Anthropic / OpenRouter | Story development when a connected writing model is explicitly requested. The active connection determines which provider receives the request. |
| ByteDance / fal | Video generation and generated media when explicitly requested through an enabled integration. |
| Resend Custom delivery pending | The sending domain is verified. Authentication email currently uses Neon Auth’s shared sender while the custom Resend SMTP connection is pending. |
| Google Fonts / Unsplash | Fonts and atmosphere imagery loaded by your browser on public pages. Those services receive the requests needed to deliver the resources. |
Cookies and operational information
Authentication uses cookies to keep you signed in. The studio may temporarily preserve unsaved edits in your browser’s session storage for recovery. Hosting and connected services may process request information, including network and device information, to serve pages, detect errors, and protect the service. Twistfully has not added advertising pixels or advertising tracking to this release.
Publication, review, and withdrawal
If you submit a finished export for publication, authorized reviewers can see the submitted film and its publication information. An approved version can appear in Discover and on a public watch page, with its title, description, genre, intended audience, AI disclosure, publication date, and the source links submitted for public display. Private draft edits do not change the approved version.
You can withdraw a pending or public film from the Screening workspace. New public requests then stop serving it. Media links already issued may remain usable for up to five minutes, and downloaded or buffered copies cannot be recalled. Withdrawal keeps your project, export, and review records stored privately; it does not delete them.
Deletion and retention limits
The studio includes a “Delete this story” control for eligible unexported projects, with title confirmation. Deletion is blocked while a generation budget reservation is held or if the project has any retained film-export record, including a failed export. You can withdraw an exported story from public access, but cannot currently delete that project through this control.
Deleting an eligible project removes its database project and production records and clears the current tab’s recovery draft. It does not guarantee removal of archived clip files, provider records, recovery data in another tab, account information, or backups. Complete account deletion and coordinated media deletion are still being built; no automatic media-deletion schedule is offered in this release.
You can edit available studio fields, download a project or completed film, and sign out. Signing out does not delete saved data. Avoid storing material here that requires a deletion capability this version does not yet provide.
Adult creators and public stories
Creator accounts are for adults 18 and older. A family or kids format describes the intended audience of a story; it does not create a child account. Please also read the community and creation guidelines before uploading references or preparing a story for an audience.
